Occupational Employment and Wages
Staffing Pattern Data by Area and Industry
The Massachusetts Department of Economic Research has produced occupational employment and wage industry staffing pattern data for the Commonwealth and for the 16 Workforce Development Areas (WDA's). The May 2023 data are available. Though these estimates were produced using the BLS methodology, they are not official BLS estimates.
To obtain occupational industry staffing pattern data, please select the area and the 2, or 3-digit industry from the drop-down menus below. The published data, in Excel format, includes the occupation's employment data as well as the hourly and annual mean, median, entry and experienced wages.

Note: The OEWS program has replaced some 2018 SOC detailed occupations with SOC broad occupations or OEWS-specific aggregations. These include home health aides and personal care aides, for which OEWS will publish only the 2018 SOC broad occupation 31-1120 Home Health and Personal Care Aides.
The six panels of data included in these estimates consist of November 2020, May 2021, November 2021, May 2022, November 2022, May 2023. Lower response rates during the COVID-19 pandemic may have negatively affect data availability and data quality during those panel.
