Labor Force and Unemployment Data

Labor force and unemployment data is estimated each month. Information is produced on the labor force, employment, unemployment, and unemployment rates for the United States, the Commonwealth and for each Labor Market Area (LMA), Workforce Development Area (WDA), city and town, and county in Massachusetts. Use the data tool below to obtain labor force and unemployment data by area and time period.

NOTE TO DATA USERS: As of March 8, 2024 statewide unemployment rate and labor force estimates have been revised from 2019 through 2023. As of April 25, 2023 local unemployment rates have been revised for 2010 through 2022.
